This 10 day odyssey begins below.

This story is not fiction.

At 5:30 am one  Thursday morning in 1999 the Sea Cat's crew of seven left Charlottetown.   On board are Captain Scotty Millar, 1st Mate Wanda Donovan,  his sons Danny and Joel (acting as the navigators), two family friends and a feline mascot...Hi-Tech.  The journey was to take them across the Northumberland Strait, through the Strait of Canso, then along the rocky Nova Scotia shoreline to St. Margaret's Bay.

They settled into a steady 7 knot pace, through the Northumberland Strait, fueled up in Pictou, then with the intent of stopping for the night in Ballantyne's Cove, they noticed the weather was starting to kick. Nothing unusual; that's the way it can be on  the Atlantic.

However; It wasn't long before all H - - -   broke loose.    Battling the Atlantic
